On the basis of the experience the Solar Energy Foundation has gathered in the pilot projects it has realised since 2005, a network of Solar Centers will be set up all over Ethiopia from 2008 onwards. These will be manned by those solar technicians who were trained at the Solar Energy Foundation’s “International Solar Energy School” in Rema.

The Solar Centers fulfil the following major tasks:
- Advising people who are interested in solar energy about its advantages
- Installation of solar systems of various sizes
- Management of the revolving fund as a financing tool over 3 years
- Maintenance and servicing

Solar-Center are located in: Humera, Rema, Woliso, Yirgalem, Minjar, Awassa, Sodo, Wolkite, Bedele, Melka Soda.
